Janet S. Young, Ph.D.
Nutrition & Natural Health Educator
In 2007, Janet Young established The Natural Pathway, LLC, which was born out of her passion to provide practical information that empowers people to make healthier lifestyle choices. Dr. Janet is a nutrition and natural health educator, consultant, and writer; she has also conducted workshops and classes for many organizations, including Bright From the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning; Atlanta Girls’ School; South DeKalb Center for Healthy Living; Bethesda Baptist Church; A Relationship Ministry; Gas South; Georgia Perimeter College; the Cub Scouts and numerous other community organizations and churches.
Currently, Dr. Janet teaches Nutrition classes at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts (ASHA) in Norcross, GA, and Wonderland Gardens in Decatur, GA. She also teaches classes for the Scouts and parents of Cub Scout Troop 1833 at DeKalb Academy of Technology & the Environment (D.A.T.E.), in Stone Mountain, GA. In addition, Janet also sub-contracts with various corporate wellness services in the metro Atlanta area.
Dr. Janet is a co-author of Four Keys to Healthy Living, and the author of Tips for the Temple – A Mini-Guide to Healthy Living, and the Nutrition Boot Camp Training Manual. She has also written articles for Connect Atlanta, magazine (Fall 2007), Natural Awakenings magazine– Atlanta Edition (December 2008), and Squidoo.com.
Dr. Janet received a Doctorate in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Janet is married to Attorney Jesse L. Young and is the mother of two daughters, Jehan and Marrenda.
